SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
– Nomination Categories –
All Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Member in good standing with the Longview Chamber of Commerce
- Physical location within the Longview trade area for a minimum of three years
- Total employee count less than 100
Small Business of the Year
- Growth through innovation and financial responsibility
- Corporate citizenship exhibited through contributions to the Longview community
Family Owned Business of the Year
- Family owned business that has passed from one generation to another
- Evidence of success as measured by sales and profits
- Voluntary efforts to strengthen family owned businesses within the community
Entrepreneur of the Year
- Demonstration of success through sales and profits, increased jobs and innovative products
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial potential for long-term success
Minority Business of the Year
- Growth through innovation and financial responsibility
- Volunteer efforts beyond professional responsibilities to advance minority small business interests within the community
- Other accomplishments demonstrating the nominee’s merit as an effective advocate for minority small business interests
Small businesses members of the Longview Chamber of Commerce are recognized and honored each year in May during the Business Solutions Conference.
