The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly impacted our state in many ways. However, as we endeavor to reopen Texas, we have heard from many employers that it has been difficult to return to full staffing levels. This challenge is not from a lack of opening or need but potentially outside factors including extended UI benefits that are keeping individuals from returning to work.
We are working to affect change in this area and get Texans back to work. As a first step, TAB and TCCE are partnering to quantify and put real numbers to the challenges many of our members are facing.
