Longview, TX— Everything changed in 2020, and the 2021 Annual Meeting, Strongview!, has, too! This prestigious and largest business gathering in the area is reinvented to highlight the challenges local businesses overcame in 2020. This year’s meeting will feature a panel of business leaders who will discuss how they strived and thrived when faced with unfamiliar challenges. In addition to remarks from local business leaders, three award winners will be honored for the 2020 Longview Chamber of Commerce business awards.
Opting to navigate from a traditional sit-down meal, the evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a Welcome Reception at the LeTourneau University Belcher Center featuring new members joining in 2020. The Annual Meeting Program begins promptly at 6 p.m. with business awards and the panel of business leaders. An After Party / Reception will follow at Pinecrest Country Club from 7:15 – 8 p.m.

Recognizing catalytic leaders sets the standard for those businesses and leaders who achieve above and beyond for the betterment of the Longview business community. The Longview Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of the distinguished awards presented in three categories.
These businesses are recognized for their exceptional efforts in making a difference in our community. They are creating jobs and employing area residents, exhibiting growth through innovation and financial sustainability, and exhibiting corporate citizenship through contributions to the Longview community.
Flint Hills Resources will receive the Industry of the Year Award. This company has been active with the Longview Chamber of Commerce for over 25 years, supporting business and community initiatives. They have consistently awarded the Longview Fire Department with a Helping Heroes grant for their training, education, equipment, and emergency notification needs. They are actively involved with Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement programs and initiatives.
The Large Business of the Year Award recipient is Texas Oncology – Longview Cancer Center. Active in the Chamber for over 25 years, this company is part of an initiative to bring in state of the art cancer therapy closer to home. With the goal of providing the best care possible, they help people walk through a difficult journey. They are an extensive network of more than 500 physicians focused on oncology and blood disorders.
The Chairman’s Award recipient is Richard Manley. Richard has exhibited charismatic leadership since the earliest recordings in high school, through the Marines, his medical supply company, and then into community service via Longview City Council, Longview Chamber of Commerce (chaired two years in a row), Longview Ballet, part of the team that brought East Texas Advanced Manufacturing Academy, co-chair of City of Longview Vision 2015 Committee that birthed the Comprehensive Plan, and is a great supporter and contributor to LeTourneau University and Belcher Center.
In addition, the Chamber congratulates Board Chairman, Dana Parr, for her second year of service entering 2021!
