Longview Chamber of Commerce Joins U.S. Chamber In Business Delegation to Israel

Kelly Hall, CEO & President of the Longview Chamber of Commerce, was invited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce this week as part of a business delegation to Israel to connect U.S. companies with Israeli business and government leaders for discussions on advancing the bilateral commercial collaboration.

Since the launch of the U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-Israel Business Initiative (USIBI) in 2010, the U.S. Chamber has worked to advance public policies and programs that foster a robust U.S.-Israel economic relationship.  By encouraging American and Israeli companies to work together to invent, develop, and bring to market cutting-edge ideas and products, USIBI has provided a significant framework for expanding U.S.-Israel business ties.

This Business Israel mission brings leaders from American business associations to Israel to catalyze stronger relationships between the U.S. business community and the state of Israel.  Participants spent a lot of time together on the ground in Israel to discuss the Chamber’s efforts on the U.S.-Israel front.  The objective was to inspire business ties between Israel and U.S. business leaders, and promote US.-Israel commercial relations.

The tour included Israel’s start-up ecosystem, the Innovation Center (Science, medicine, security, and space), Fintech Hub, The Bridge, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturers Association of Israel, Ben Gurion University, and Volcani Agricultural Institute.  Cultural tours included the Old City, Lakiya Bedouin town, and Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center.

The goal was to provide lasting value to participants and partner in helping American businesses access global markets, including Israel.   As 95% of the world market exists beyond the confines of the United States, it behooves the business community to seek and establish global opportunities.  International trade and investment is a key component generating stronger economic growth, creating jobs, and expanding opportunity for all Americans.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations. Its International Affairs division includes more than 50 regional and policy experts and 25 country- and region-specific business councils and initiatives. The U.S. Chamber also works closely with 116 American Chambers of Commerce abroad.
